Doing business from the cloud - Towards a European strategy for cloud computing

The use of cloud computing holds huge potentials for the transition towards a more sustainable and greener economy. But the global nature of cloud computing also leaves challenges for policy makers and legislators. Data must be secure, interoperable and transferable across borders. The focus of this session is on how the full potential for using cloud solutions could be realised within the Digital Single Market. The session will identify the main challenges for the development and use of cloud services and how to build a trusted and interoperable environment in Europe.
